Malacca Trip 08-11-2008

xiaowan's been very busy these few weeks... went to quite a lot of places and did a lot of things lately... last saturday, i visited the historical city Malacca. I haven't been there for 21 years... :)
i didn't sleep the night before, probably because i was too excited about the trip.
gg picked me n kangwei up at 6.30 and after meeting meiyee and elaine, we went for a dim sum breakfast at somewhr near puchong. that was my first dim sum meal in kl.. it was nice, and i ate a lot of prawns there. I LOVE PRAWNS!
well, i cant really remember what time we reached malacca. I was too tired so i napped for a while in the car while listening to elaine talking.. haha!
once we reached malacca, we went for a go kart race.. i'm a noob!!!! the go kart was way faster than those we had in genting and i was scared. therefore, i was one lap slower than the others... haha! but i think there's something wrong with my car too... (trying to find excuses to cover my noobi-ness)
nice view. taken where we parked our car.
Christ Church Malacca
These are some pictures we shot at the historical attractions there but i can remember none of the names of those places.. forgive me for my forgetful-ness!
We took pictures even when we're inside the shopping mall... Dataran Pahlawan is the biggest shopping mall in Malacca if i'm not mistaken... :)
Some old time trucks, aeroplane and train... i admit i'm a lousy poser...
Jonker Street
The famed-ball ball chicken rice... It wasn't too delicious but it's a must eat if u're here in Malacca. Tourists are meant to be cheated.. haha!
We then had desserts inside an old dessert house.. The 5 bowls are different cendol ice. Look at the size and guess how much does each cost? u wouldn't believe that the normal cendol is only RM1.70. Even durian cendol and mango cendol cost us only RM2.70 each. In the next pic stood nyonya asam laksa and fried fish balls and seafood tofu. I didn't try it because according to meiyee and elaine, it was super spicy. I dont eat tofu too. But it looked nice rite?
as u can see from the picture, it's a small path way with trees planted on the sides, leading to a tea house inside. we wanted to have a drink there but too bad it's not open in the afternoon so we could only take picture at the gate.
the windmill
guess what? this is a convenience store!
we took a boat ride along the malacca river and i took a lot of pictures of the buildings at the sides of the river. according to the guide, in 2011 all these buildings will be changed into cafes and hotels.
the ancient ship near the malacca river. a place worthwhile to visit.
satay celup!!! this can only be found in malacca so u must try it if u got the chance to visit malacca. but the satay sauce was too spicy that i couldn't stand it. i had 2 glasses of drinks ba!
after meal we went to the pirates park where eye on malacca and a tiny pirate ship are found. it is located just beside the river. all the buildings beside and the bridges are decorated with light bulbs. an ideal place for photo taking! hahaha...
we went back to jonker street and had a walk at the night market thr.
yea, happy hour!!!! 5 bottles of carlsberg for only RM39 bucks, but we cant finish it so we did something very paise... we dapao the beer ba!

we left malacca at 10.30pm. The trip was full of excitement and fun! oh ya, bee, xiaoyu, pei, chen, siang, chyuan, bing, sen, loi, dongchiang lin, vin and ping, dont complain me for being heartless k? i've got some little things for u all but dont expect too much la.. hehe... i'm just a poor little girl... wahaha.. i hope we could go travelling one day together too.. we've known each other for almost 10 years and we've never visited any place together except the one at sg rait.. sad case
